As Friends of the Aliso Viejo Dog Park, we advocate the establishment, maintenance, and protection of a fenced in, off-leash recreation area in Aliso Viejo where people and dogs can interact, socialize and exercise in a clean, safe, community environment.

After several months of encouraging reports that a dog park would be included at Aliso Canyon Community Park, a decision made at May's AVCA Board meeting dealt us a disappointing blow.
The dog park has been "de-prioritized", meaning that a dog park will not be included in the beginning stages of development for ACCP, as we were originally told.
Please visit our History section to see how long we've been waiting for this amenity in our community.

This is a wonderful video about Marymoor Park in Washington.
We're not suggesting that Aliso Viejo needs a 40 acre dog park, but we like the comments from the people in this video. "This is what parks are for, to provide recreation for people".
We say, "Dog Parks are really People Parks that include Dogs!"
